Caps Lock Indicator

The functionality Caps Lock Indicator has to offer comes in handy if your keyboard doesn’t have a light that indicates Caps Lock's status. It helps you easily figure out if Caps Lock is on or off and it provides multiple means of notifying you when the Caps Lock status changes: balloon notification, OSD (on-screen display) notification, tray icon color change, audio notification.

Caps Lock Indicator provides support for 32-bit as well as 64-bit versions of Microsoft’s Windows operating system. As the developer explained, Caps Lock Indicator has been tested and is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. An installation wizard will get Caps Lock Indicator up and running on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions.

While Caps Lock Indicator is up and running, you will see its color-coded icon in the system tray. When Caps Lock is on, the icon is red; and when Caps Lock is off, the icon is white. These, mind you, are the default colors. Open the Settings menu to switch to another color and even switch to another icon shape.

Caps Lock Indicator has other ways of telling you if Caps Lock is on or off:
Balloon – the tray icon will bring up a balloon notification when Caps Lock’s status changes. By default, the balloon notification shows up only when Caps Lock turns on.
OSD – an on-screen display notification will show up when Caps Lock’s status changes. By default, the OSD notification shows up only when Caps Lock turns on. This OSD notification displays the text “Caps Lock ON” in big, red letters. From the Settings menu you can change the text color, background color, opacity level, animation time, and set it so the text will hide after a set amount of time passes.
Audio – a notification sound will play when Caps Lock turns on and/or when Caps Lock turns off.

Caps Lock Indicator is distributed as “try before you buy.” This means you can use it for free, for evaluation purposes, for a trial period of 30 days. A prompt will show up when you launch the application; it will tell you how many days are left in your trial and will invite you to register your copy.
